Our Brand

The name Gandhara is inspired from Gandhara civilization which existed in northern Pakistan and parts of Afghanistan some 2000 years ago. Gandhara civilization’s greatest legacy is its archeological remains and breathtaking art work which were found in excavations all over the region. Gandharan Art was a beautiful amalgamation of Indo-Greek and Buddhist influences. The civilization ended but its art survived through artisans, living in beautiful mountain abodes. They kept the tradition alive and jealously guarded their skill by keeping it strictly within families. Hence, the exquisite craftsmanship was passed on to generation after generation to this day.
